Braugher

The two branches of the aorta are right and left coronary arteries, supply blood to the tissues of the heart. The openings lie just superior to the aortic valve. The right coronary artery passes along the atrioventricular sulcus between the right atrium and the right ventricle. Two major branches are posterior interventricular artery which travels along the posterior interventricular sulcus and supplies the posterior walls of both ventricles, and a right marginal branch which passes along the lower border of the heart. The right marginal branch supplies the walls of the right atrium and the right ventricle. The left coronary artery branches to circumflex artery following the atrioventricular sulcus between the left atrium and the left ventricle encircles the heart and travels posteriorly.
