Sex Needs a New Metaphor Video Assignment

This assignment is required and counts towards your grade in this course.

Purpose

This video will provide a cultural perspective on how language can shape views of sex . It will provide an opportunity to write your learning,
share your thoughts with others, and learn from other perspectives in the class.

Directions

Watch the “Sex Needs a New Metaphor” video that is embedded above.

This video explores metaphors used in the U.S. to talk about sex and presents a new metaphor: pizza.

After watching the video, answer the following questions:
Explain the new analogy proposed by the TEDTalk speaker (Al Vernacchio)
Do you think this is a better analogy for sex? Why or why not?

first submitted your own work.

The assignment will be graded for completion (were the required number of questions answered), accuracy (were the questions answered

Merely submitting a post is not sufficient to earn full points – please work to be accurate and in-depth in your answers/explanations.
