Who inspires you and why? Is your favorite artist a well-known person or an unknown? What kind of art do they make? What part of their art do you like most, and can you incorporate it into your art? Describe at least one element of art and one principle of design that your favorite artist uses. Select an artist who you discovered in the last few months.

The Elements: line, shape, space, color, light, texture, time, and motion

The Principles: balance, emphasis, proportion, scale, pattern, rhythm, unity, and variety

Before you answer the questions above, write an introductory paragraph that describes the background and life of the artist you have chosen. Pay particular attention to your writing style, sentence structure, grammar, and the organization of your sentences. Write a total of 400 words.
