INSTRUCTIONS ATTACHED

Discussion boards are an important part of this course. We are a learning community, so we will learn through engagement. Discussion boards are a form of professional communication, so you are expected to use your best professional communication at all times. You are expected to use an argument structure. This means, for every idea (argument) presented, you must provide evidential support. Support can include examples, professional or scholarly resource. It is a good idea to use your weekly resources as support for your ideas.

Discussion boards are made up of 1) Original Posts and 2) Peer Responses (Engagement). Peer responses include responses to peer postings and returning to your own postings to respond to questions and comments provided by peers and/or your instructor.

Original Posts should be approximately 200-300 words. It should respond and provide evidence and your unique perspective on the weekly topics. APA in text citations and full references are required.  If you are not familiar with APA publication standards, Purdue OWL APA website is a great resource for APA expectations. Please also feel free to reach out to me with any questions you might have.

Peer Responses are how we engage with material and one another. Two peer responses are required each week. Your peer responses should add substance and continue the discussion. You should not only “like”, agree, or evaluate your peers, but instead provide your perspective and add additional resources. Peer responses help one another learn. A typical peer response should be about 100-150 words, demonstrate professional communication, argument structure, and use APA for citations and references.

Module 2 Discussion Topic:

After reviewing this week’s learning materials about history and social movements, choose 2 movements to share. What was the affect of the movement on our history? Is the affect still significant today? How do you think this movement would be different today than it was originally? Be sure to post a question for your peers at the conclusion of your posting.
