Acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) A rare cancer that affects fewer than 10,000 people a year, and is most common among children, though adults can develop it, too. ALL begins when too many immature white blood cells, called lymphocytes, form in the bone marrow.

Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) One of the most aggressive cancers, AML is most commonly diagnosed among people in their 60s and 70s.

Chronic lymphoblastic leukemia (CLL) One of the most common leukemias among adults, with an 88% 5-year survival rate.

Chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) An extremely rare cancer, with only several thousand diagnoses each year, and a 70.6% 5-year survival rate.
