Read the following article about the role that dentists play in combating antibiotic resistance. briefly summarize the article and provide your thoughts of how a dental hygienist can have a vital role in the reduction of antibiotic resistance. A patient has had a recent MF. They have come into your dental office with recent tooth pain. As a clinician, you know that they can not be prescribed aspirin for pain, because their MF event has happened within the past 4 months. After reviewing their x-rays, the patient was diagnosed with a periapical abscess. The dentist prescribed antibiotics to treat the abscess before treatment can begin. The dentist takes careful precautions to not over prescribe antibiotics or pain medication irresponsibly. From your text we know that the dentist must consider the following factors before making a decision to prescribing antibiotics :
